WILLAM
Willam appeared on season 4 of Rupaul's Drag Race as is known as one of the only queens to be disqualified from the show after breaking the rules. Willam's Youtube channel gained popularity after releasing covers of popular songs with the girl group DWV and being a part of an American Apparel ad campaign. Willam is a star and can be recognized in the movie A Star is Born.
This piece was also created with thrifted materials. The backdrop is a child's fuzzy coat, the pink text is from velvet shorts, and the yarn is thrifted as well. The face is watercolor.
This is Willam's logo. As soon as I started this project, I knew I wanted the background to be blue and fluffy. One thing I learned with this project is that thinner yarn is the better way to go.
